Restore Movement - Enhance Strength - Optimise Performance
The Golf Swing Biomechanical Assessment is a golf-specific screening and treatment process designed to help you unlock your full potential on the course. Whether you are a weekend golfer or a touring professional, this consultation provides the foundation with the potential to minimise injury risk, improve your swing and get the most out of your golf game.
What to Expect During Your Consultation
1. Discussion & Goal Setting
Your consultation begins with a one-on-one conversation to review your:
Injury and medical history
Physical concerns
Personal golfing goals
Whether you're focused on driving distance, pain-free play, or swing consistency, this step ensures your assessment is tailored to you.
2. Golf Movement Screen
You will be guided through 16 golf-specific movements developed by the Titleist Performance Institute. These assess:
Mobility
Stability
Balance and control through the swing
You will receive a Golf Fitness Handicap, a score indicating how efficiently your body moves in relation to golf mechanics.
3. In-Person Golf Swing Assessment
You will have your swing assessed in person to identify how physical limitations may be affecting your technique. This helps make the connection between your movement screen and your swing performance, providing more accurate, individualised insight.
4. Osteopathic Treatment
Based on your screen and swing findings, you will receive hands-on osteopathic care to address any dysfunctions or restrictions. Treatment may include:
Joint mobilisations
Soft tissue therapy
Dry needling
Assisted stretching and muscle release
5. Personalised Program
You will leave with a tailored plan that includes:
Personalised exercises and golf-specific mobility drills
A TPI user account with guided videos and progress tracking
A structured plan to help you achieve your goal
6. Collaboration With Your Golf Coach
If you’re working with a golf coach, we can share your assessment findings with them. This allows your coach to make informed, body-specific adjustments to your swing and training, ensuring your coaching and rehab are fully aligned.
